The Aphrodite Hills Golf Festive Open

The last official Aphrodite Hills Open of 2013 saw a full field take to the course for the Festive Open. This annual event is becoming ever more popular, as players see the chance to play their sport and to take themselves away from the festive feasts… although the bacon rolls went down better than some of the putts on the day! Conditions were not so festive for Cyprus, but more akin to the rest of Europe; extreme gales and treacherous gusts made scoring very tricky, to say the least…

Scoring was throughout the field but in Runner-Up position was Demetris Spyradakis with 34 points. The players who won the two ‘Nearest the Pins’ were Maro Kazepi on the 12th and Martina Vucemilo on the 17th. However, the overall festive winner for the event was Andreas Christodoulides also with 34 points, but a 19-point back nine made him victorious on the countback.

On behalf of the Golf element at Aphrodite Hills, may I take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support and wish you all a fantastic 2014 in everything you do, and on the golf course, may all your drives be long and may your putts drop in!
