July Open Greensomes 2014 at Aphrodite Hills Golf

A massive, thank you to all the participants, who took part in our Greensomes event on Saturday 26th July 2014.

This event was arranged by the Aphrodite Hills Golf team, as there was no event scheduled for July, plus they wanted to give the players a different format of the game to play, one that some of the players may have never played before. In fact the only time this format has been played at Aphrodite Hills, is during the very popular Glenfiddich 4-day tournament held during the first week of October. This is a team event, and for any golfers wishing to create a four man team to enter, please feel free to contact David Stone on Tel. +357 99445985 or Andrew Darker on Tel. +357 99536777 to find out more information.

The players teed off at the earlier time of 08.30hrs and some players had traveled distances from as far Nicosia, CMC Club and even Ayia Napa.

The players that won the individual prizes were, Nearest the Pins were:-
Christine Cowin Ladies on 17th ,  Demetris Spyradakis Mens Winner on 15th.

The overall Runner up positions were the pairing of Walter Wekenborg and Jamie Bell both of whom were looking for partners at 19.00hrs yesterday, who amassed 42 pts.
However, the overall July Open winners for the event were Zenon Papaloizou and Philios Christodoulides also with 42 points but scored better on the count back system.

Sincere congratulations to all our prize winners!

From all of the team here at Aphrodite Hills Golf, we would like to thank all our valued entrants, from all parts of this fantastic island, and beyond, for their participation and joining us for this event.

As a kind reminder, the August Open will take place on Sat 16th August 2014 as a 07.30hrs start Betterball competition; we hope to see you there.

May all your drives be long and may your all your putts drop in!
